1 April 2025 marks the entry into force of the validation agreement between the European Patent Organisation (EPO) and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. US Patent fee changes to take effect on January 19, 2025

Compared with the current standard of official fees, the basic official fees for filing a utility patent application and requesting of grant will be increased from USD 3020 to USD 3290 and for filing a design patent application and requesting of grant will be increased from USD 1760 to USD 2600 on or after January 19, 2025.
